In 1324 Dierhagen was pledged by Heinrich dem Löwen (Henry the Lion) to Johann von Moltke and in 1328 was donated to the St. Klarissen cloister Ribnitz. The place was to belong to the cloister until 1599.
During the Reformation, between 1599 and 1669, the village passed over to knightly possession. After 1669 it became a ducal office village and was subordinate to the Amtshauptmann von Ribnitz.
