Manually Updating

In circumstances where automatic ENC updates are not possible, it must be done manually. To achieve this, "Mariners Navigational Objects" (NavObj) are built in to each ECDIS system in accordance with the relevant Annex of the S52 Standard.
Manual updates must be saved into separate folders in order to avoid overlap with update data received by CD ROM (see Automatic Updating). Manual updates may be deleted from the system when necessary.
